       Culture and religion was very different than it is now. During this time, even thinking about another religion than the one practiced could put your life at danger. This is why these great seminal thinkers we still know today such as Socrates, Buddha, Jesus, and Confucius because they risked their life to spread bureaucracy, enlightenment, salvation and other religious beliefs. Another belief was Socrates idea of humanism that can still be seen in present day.
